'My focus on Morris dancing as one of the current themes for my work comes partly from my personal interest in folk music and dance and also from my desire to find vibrant and contemporary subject matter. Morris dancing is not only a colourful spectacle but also abounds with vitality and joy which I seek to capture in my paintings.'
